IndyCanvas.com was founded in early 2004 by a couple of boaters who found that there were few good sources to get quality custom canvas products on the internet. There were plenty of sites that told all about their services, but none offered immediate ordering of items with a high degree of customization. All of the sites wanted you to call them and have them come out to measure and pattern. We realized that measuring and patterning is not rocket science and that we, as well as other boaters, could do it ourselves. The other big issue was the cost. Because of the "on-site" nature of the business, the fees charged for the measuring, patterning, and construction were just too high.

At IndyCanvas.com, we believe that with a great website, we can offer customers the look and fit of custom-made products, at the costs of mass-produced ones. The process typically involves a bit more work for the boat owner, but who doesn't want to save some money by doing a little more themselves.
